Aileen Droughton is a partner in the firm’s New Jersey office. Aileen concentrates her practice in the firm’s professional liability, employment practices liability, premises liability and commercial litigation areas.
Aileen represents physicians, lawyers, insurance agents, architects, engineers and accountants in professional negligence actions, and represents corporations and municipalities in all phases of litigation. She regularly litigates employment discrimination and harassment, First Amendment, and other civil rights claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. In insurance coverage matters, Ms. Droughton’s practice includes defense and prosecution of declaratory judgment actions and defense of bad faith litigation. Aileen also handles personal injury and first party property claims.

Aileen received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1997, where she served as the Writing and Research Editor for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal, and graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is admitted to practice before the courts of the States of New York and New Jersey; U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York; and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining the firm’s New Jersey Office in 2001, Aileen practiced labor and employment related litigation and counseling in both New York and New Jersey.
