Over the years, global corporations and
manufacturers have come to rely on Eileen B. Eglin for her
experience in defending products liability, insurance, and
environmental claims. Ms. Eglin's practice has concentrated
in products liability defense, serving on behalf of U.S.,
European, Canadian and Japanese manufacturers. As one of the
founding partners of TELS, Ms. Eglin has also made a name
for herself in the areas of environmental coverage litigation
(on a national basis), general insurance coverage litigation,
professional liability defense (focusing on agents and brokers
liability), reinsurance litigation and arbitration, religious
institution liability (including sexual misconduct claims),
and insurance policy drafting.
A sought-after speaker, Ms. Eglin has lectured
about these complex topics to audiences in the United States,
United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea. She is also a recognized
author, having contributed numerous articles to such publications
as Environmental Claims Journal, International Insurance Law
Journal, and For the Defense.
Ms. Eglin was admitted to the New York
Bar in 1980 after obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from New
York Law School, magna cum laude and as a member
of the school's Law Review. She was Phi Beta Kappa at Franklin
& Marshall College, where she earned an A.B. degree, cum laude in 1976. She is involved in the community and
her profession. In addition to being a member of the American
Bar Association, she also serves in the Professional Liability
Underwriting Society and Association of Professional Insurance
Women.
In addition to the State of New York, Ms.
Eglin is also admitted to practice before the United States
District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New
York, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and before the United
States Court of Appeals for the Second and Sixth Circuits.
She has also appeared pro hac vice in many state
and federal courts throughout the United States. |
