Jonathan Reed is the resident partner in the firm’s New Jersey office and the recipient of Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He practices in the firm’s environmental and toxic tort insurance coverage areas. He also handles professional liability and general commercial matters, as well as complex employment litigation on behalf of management. Mr. Reed’s experience in insurance coverage litigation and employment law has led him to develop a specialty in employment practices liability insurance (EPLI). He has lectured widely on the subject of insurance coverage for acts of employment discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination and has authored articles including, "How New Jersey Courts View Coverage for Sexual Harassment and Other Employment Claims" (NEW JERSEY LAW JOURNAL); and "Go Ahead Policyholder, Make My Day: Pulling the Trigger of Coverage in the Employment Liability Context" (MEALEY’S EMERGING INSURANCE DISPUTES).

Mr. Reed was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1984 after obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado School of Law as a member of its Law Review. He was Phi Beta Kappa at Franklin & Marshall College where he earned a B.A. degree, cum laude in 1980. He is a member of the American and New Jersey State Bar Associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute.

Mr. Reed is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits.
