Maria E. Trenzado is certified as a specialist in civil trial law by the State Bar of Florida, Board of Legal Specialization. With more than 24 years of experience in the defense of lawsuits and having tried in excess of 100 jury trials involving complex and catastrophic injuries and damages, her primary areas of practice include general liability defense in personal and commercial lines of business, specifically professional negligence and malpractice; health care litigation; automobile, trucking and motorcycle; marine and watercraft; construction defect; products liability; security and premises liability; negligent hiring and supervision; clergy sexual abuse; insurance coverage and bad faith. As a certified mediator and arbitrator, her practice includes alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP, Ms. Trenzado established and managed results driven staff counsel operations for SAFECO, USAA and GEICO insurance companies where she also served as lead trial attorney. She has provided international corporations, such as Carnival Cruise Lines, with expertise in claims and litigation avoidance and management.
