Scot Samis is board-certified and has handled appeals at every level in Florida in over 30 years of practice. Legal disputes can go through many phases. From pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal, the ability to analyze where a case can go is every bit as important as knowing where it stands.
Experienced appellate counsel is part of that formula. Scot has handled over 300 appeals, including cases in the Florida Supreme Court, all five Florida District Courts of Appeal, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He provides counsel and representation in a wide range of insurance-related matters at the pre-litigation, trial and appellate levels, and acts as a consultant on legislative strategy and policy drafting. Scot has presented seminars on numerous legal topics and has been a featured speaker for several professional and business organizations. He also served as an adjunct professor at Stetson University College of Law from 1994-2004.
