Alissa Katz is an associate in the firm’s New York office and handles a variety of general liability matters on behalf of drivers, property owners, tenants and contractors. These matters include the defense of construction site accidents, premises liability, construction defects and motor vehicle accidents.
While earning her Juris Doctorate from Pace Law School, Alissa interned at two boutique civil rights and employment law firms. She also interned at the Office of the Inspector General of the New York City Police Department, which is charged with oversight and investigation of the NYPD and systemic issues including civil rights violations. In her final year of law school, Ms. Katz interned with the Pace Women’s Justice Center’s Family Court Legal Program, wherein she advocated for victims of domestic violence in family court pursuant to New York’s Student Practice Order.
While at Pace Law School, Alissa was a Merit Scholarship recipient and Deans’ List student. Before migrating north for law school, Ms. Katz studied English Literature at Georgia State University in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. From July 2010 through the end of her undergraduate career, Alissa worked as a certified Crossfit Level-1 and Crossfit Kids coach.
