Managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, Kevin McNamara staunchly believes that preparation is the bedrock foundation of success in the practice of law. Taking a team approach to problem-solving, Kevin provides his clients with early, regular, and open communication and cost-effective strategies designed to achieve their specific goals.
Kevin focuses his practice on insurance coverage counseling, insurance coverage litigation, commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, and subrogation (property and workers’ compensation). He has extensive experience advising insurers on their duties under general liability policies, pollution liability policies, professional liability policies, commercial auto policies, personal auto policies, workers’ compensation policies, disability and life policies, and property policies. He has also litigated coverage disputes involving a broad array of insurance policies, including environmental and asbestos coverage litigation.
Kevin’s practice and background include a long history of representing trucking companies and other commercial enterprises in personal injury litigation. He also has extensive experience in all phases of ERISA litigation in California’s federal courts, has tried both bench and jury trials to verdict, and has argued before the California Court of Appeal. Sharing the insights he has developed throughout his career, Kevin has given lectures for clients and at conferences on topics related to claim handling, proper investigation, defending catastrophic accident cases, and hiring practices.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Kevin earned his law degree, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law. Outside of the office, he has served as a coach of his sons’ little league teams. Thankfully for all involved, his daughter’s dance studio does not allow parent-teachers.
