An associate in the firm’s Chicago office, Meghan Rigney focuses her practice on coverage issues and coverage litigation for professional liability and general liability claims. She tackles the complex issues that her clients face through her detailed research and thorough investigation to provide critical analysis and creative solutions for a variety of coverage matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Meghan worked as a litigator at regional insurance defense law firms in Chicago, Illinois. Her litigation practice included personal injury and insurance coverage matters, with a focus on the defense of bad faith and extra-contractual liability suits. Most recently, Meghan’s practice included claims administration and management of lawyers’ professional liability, miscellaneous professional liability, employment practices liability, and directors and officers insurance claims for international and domestic insurers. Meghan has experience in risk management from the claim intake stage to resolution, encompassing fact investigation, coverage analysis, reserve recommendations, and development of settlement and resolution strategies.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Loyola University of Chicago, Meghan earned her law degree from Notre Dame Law School. When not in the office, Meghan enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
