Melissa E. Young is an associate in the firm’s New York office. A firm believer in the paramount importance of meticulous preparation and thorough legal analysis, Melissa also understands that clear communication, aligned expectations, and a full understanding of each client’s unique business and legal goals are essential elements of effective representation.
Melissa focuses her practice on insurance defense litigation, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and labor law claims. Prior to joining the firm, she represented financial institutions and private investors in various real estate litigation matters.
A graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz, Melissa earned her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as a clinical intern at the school’s law clinic for Article 81 Adult Guardianship, representing adults in need of an appointed guardian. Melissa also served as volunteer counsel for New York Civil Court’s Access to Justice Program, assisting pro se defendants with consumer debt litigation.
A native New Yorker, Melissa enjoys spending her time away from the office exploring her ever-evolving city and enjoying the rich culture each neighborhood has to offer.
