An associate in the firm’s New York office, Orielle Newsome represents clients in insurance claim defense matters. She approaches every case with a keen attention to detail and focus on organization. Orielle works closely with her clients, keeping them well-informed throughout every stage of the case.
Prior to joining Traub Lieberman, Orielle was a Law Clerk for three Supreme Court justices within the New York State Unified Court System, where she drafted decisions on numerous civil cases ranging from motor vehicle accidents to residential foreclosures, as well as researching and shepardizing the applicable law.
During law school, Orielle was a student lawyer in the school’s Sixty Plus Clinic. In this capacity, she drafted wills and power of attorney forms for elderly clients and submitted guardianship reports to the court for review. She was also the Legal Conference Editor for her school’s law journal. She edited numerous articles for publication and organized a symposium entitled, “Is a Wrongful Conviction a Life Sentence?” During her final semester, she was a judicial extern at an insurance defense firm handling asbestos litigation in New York County. Upon graduating cum laude, she received the Distinguished Student Award and the Leadership Achievement Award.
