A partner in the firm’s New Jersey office, Susan Kennedy concentrates her practice in insurance defense with a focus on product liability, employment law, personal injury, environmental law and premises liability. Susan’s experience includes more than a decade of product liability defense, employment litigation, export licensing, antitrust and trade matters and global compliance for an international medical device manufacturer and distributor.
Susan also has extensive experience in environmental and land use litigation and policy issues. She has litigated cases to enforce the protections of various federal and state environmental statutes and advised companies regarding their environmental permitting and compliance matters. She recently served as the Chair of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Economics, Finance and Risk Workgroup as part of the State’s effort to develop a New Jersey Coastal Resilience Plan.
After graduating from Delaware College of Science and Agriculture, Susan received her law degree from the Vermont Law School where she also earned a master’s degree in Environmental Law. When not serving her clients, Susan likes to spend her time outdoors.
