Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP partners Eric D. Suben and Colleen E. Hastie are participants in a full-day continuing education program entitled “Intro to Civil Practice Skills,” sponsored by the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Suben is the Program Chair, and has organized a series of panels addressing the following topics: “The Lawsuit: Venue, Pleadings & Discovery”; “Premises Liability: Burden of Proof and Defenses”; “Auto Insurance Claims and SUM”; “Insurance Coverage Fundamentals”; “Mediation and Trial”; and “Taking, Perfecting and Arguing the Appeal.” Mr. Suben’s practice focuses on commercial liability defense and coverage litigation in state and federal courts, and he is a frequent speaker for the NYSBA.
Ms. Hastie is presenting as a member of the panel on “Taking, Perfecting and Arguing the Appeal.” In her practice, she concentrates on the defense of construction accident, legal malpractice, products liability, and construction defect litigation, through trial and appeal.
The program is offered for Continuing Legal Education credit (6.0 credits, Skills) in compliance with applicable rules of the State of New York Department of Court Administration.
