Traub Lieberman Partner Jonathan R. Harwood Volunteered at the Latino U Financial Aid Award Review Event

Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP partner Jonathan R. Harwood recently volunteered at the Latino U Financial Aid Award Review Event held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Latino U offices located in White Plains, New York. Latino U assists first generation Latino youth enroll in and graduate from college by providing students with the knowledge and support they need to achieve their dreams.

The Financial Aid Award Review is an annual event designed to help first generation students and their families make an informed, financially responsible decision on where they plan to attend college. In the past, Traub Lieberman has worked with Latino U to assist students with preparing their financial aid forms, and Traub Lieberman was honored to once again provide support and guidance to Latino U Scholars and their families by reviewing financial aid award packages they received from their top choice schools. This year’s group includes the first Latino U Scholar to be accepted to Harvard University.

Latino U offers assistance to first generation immigrant families with children who want to go to college. Its mission is to empower first generation Latino youth to enroll in and graduate from college by providing students with the knowledge and support they need to achieve their dreams. Through advocacy, community education and student workshops, Latino U promotes college enrollment and prepares students for their journey to college graduation.
