As an Associate in the firm’s Chicago office, Treyana Burris focuses her practice on insurance defense matters in professional liability and general liability claims for domestic insurers. Her practice also encompasses premises liability, product liability, and transportation litigation. Treyana zealously defends her clients by litigating complex issues and providing in depth analyses on a wide range of issues.
Treyana began her legal career as an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois. As an Assistant State’s Attorney, she advocated for victims and the general public by prosecuting various misdemeanor offenses in bench and jury trials. To further enhance her legal skills, Treyana transitioned into civil litigation by working as an associate at an insurance defense firm in Chicago prior to joining Traub Lieberman. Her practice focused on transportation litigation, premise liability, product liability, and defending companies in a wide range of other legal issues. Treyana has unique litigation experience from initial case development and management to preparing cases for trial.
Treyana is a graduate of Illinois State University and the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, formerly known as The John Marshall Law School. As part of the inaugural graduating class, she earned her law degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law. In her free time, Treyana enjoys traveling, visiting new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
