Marie J. Cox is an associate in the Palm Beach Gardens office, where she focuses her practice on construction defect litigation, commercial liability, premises liability, and general liability. She brings a strong foundation to her practice representing developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in complex disputes involving claims of structural deficiencies, code violations, and construction-related damages.
While earning her Juris Doctor from Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, she sat as the Vice-President of American Constitution Society chapter, was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and ultimately graduated with an honors recognition in Environmental and Earth Law for her work researching and writing about the potential transgenerational epigenetic effects of environmental racism, examining how prolonged exposure to environmental toxins in underserved communities can cause heritable genetic changes. While in law school, Marie also gained invaluable legal experience interning for the Office of the Public Defender, Ninth Judicial Circuit. Prior to law school, she graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, and a minor in History.
Prior to joining Traub Lieberman, Marie worked in insurance defense, handling personal injury, negligent security, and construction-related claims.
