Traub Lieberman is pleased to announce that Lisa L. Shrewsberry and Michael K. Kiernan have been elected as Co-Chairs of the firm, effective July 1.
Ms. Shrewsberry and Mr. Kiernan will succeed Michael Knippen, who has served as firm Chair since 2019. Mr. Knippen will transition to the role of Chair Emeritus and Counsel within the firm, and will continue to work with clients and handle matters.
“Mike led the firm through the challenges of COVID-19, and we have grown and thrived under his leadership. We look forward to continuing on this path of prosperity and are grateful to Mike for his many years of service to Traub Lieberman,” said Ms. Shrewsberry.
Ms. Shrewsberry has served as firm Vice Chair since 2019, and is the Managing Partner of the New York Office. Mr. Kiernan has served as the Managing Partner of the firm’s St. Petersburg, FL Office, and he and Ms. Shrewsberry are longstanding members of the firm’s Management and Finance Committees.
With the election of Ms. Shrewsberry and Mr. Kiernan, the firm transitions to a Co-Chair leadership structure from a single Chair. “Backed by the support of our strong Management Committee, this new structure will provide balanced leadership and still allow us—as Co-Chairs—to fully practice law as before,” said Mr. Kiernan. Mr. Kiernan will continue to lead the St. Petersburg Office and focus on insurance coverage and other complex litigation, while Ms. Shrewsberry will continue to lead the firm’s professional liability practice.
