Denita Jones is an associate in the firm’s Palm Beach Gardens office, where she represents clients in general liability matters. An experienced litigator, she focuses her representation on understanding her client’s needs and assisting them at all phases to reach an informed resolution, whether it be through litigation or a settlement.
Denita’s experience involves civil and criminal litigation, case management, legal writing, and risk management, which enhances her ability to effectively analyze legal issues and advise clients on potential outcomes.
Prior to joining Traub Lieberman, Denita served as Program Manager and Supervising Staff Attorney with Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County’s Fair Housing Project, where she handled landlord-tenant issues and matters related to the Federal, State, and Local fair housing laws. While at Legal Aid, she successfully obtained a favorable jury verdict in a landmark fair housing case in the Southern District of Florida.
Denita has also worked with a major cruise company to develop, revise, and analyze company policies to ensure compliance and minimize risks. Her experiences in the cruise industry led to her co-authoring an article titled, Floating Cities: Navigating Environmental Compliance in the Cruise Industry. Additionally, she has worked as a Public Defender, where she participated in several jury trials and argued countless pre-trial motions on behalf of her clients.
