Laura Schroeder

Laura Schroeder is an Associate in the firm’s Chicago office, where she focuses her practice on insurance coverage and defense matters. A trusted advisor to her clients, Laura helps to navigate complicated scenarios with a focus on problem-solving. A strong communicator, she develops close relationships with her clients and has a talent for translating complicated issues into manageable and clear information.

Laura earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Counsel and held a board position in OUTLaw, an LGBTQ+ student organization. During her time in law school, she completed a judicial externship with the Domestic Relations Division in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chicago.

Prior to the practice of law, Laura spent a decade working in the non-profit sector. In this capacity, she worked for agencies that supported individuals with disabilities and children with autism as a group home manager and case manager. She also worked at a non-profit healthcare center as a Family Medicine Residency Coordinator, working with doctors to oversee their residency experience.
