A partner in the firm’s St. Petersburg office and an experienced litigator, Michael believes that meticulous preparation and thorough analysis form the foundation for candid and reliable liability evaluation as well as effective litigation strategy.
Michael primarily practices in the areas of first-party insurance defense, third-party insurance defense, insurance coverage litigation, premises liability, negligence defense, and complex litigation/bodily injury matters. Before joining the firm, he worked for a firm in Tampa, Florida representing individuals in litigation involving premises liability, torts and personal injury, negligence, and landlord liability. Michael also served as a clerk for the Honorable Anthony Black at the Florida Second District Court of Appeal.
After receiving his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Michael earned his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law where he was an active member of the law school community, participating in the Fredrick Green Moot Court, the Environmental Moot Court, and the ABA Negotiation competitions. His academic achievements were recognized with his receipt of the H.H. Harris Foundation Scholarship and the CALI Excellence Award. When not serving his clients, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
