Priding herself on her professionalism and civility, Heather Fleming provides clients with timely, reliable, and informative legal guidance so that they can make the best business decisions.
An associate in the firm’s St. Petersburg office, Heather believes that providing clients with timely, reliable, and informative legal guidance is the best way to help them make thoughtful and strategic business decisions. Priding herself on her professionalism and civility, Heather sees litigation as a chess match, and she develops approaches that take into consideration the other side’s next move so that she is always one step ahead.
Heather is part of the firm’s insurance defense practice, where she defends clients in a range of cases involving windstorm, sinkhole, collapse, water damage, theft and fire losses to residential properties and multi-building, multimillion-dollar commercial properties. She has extensive litigation experience, having tried cases in several jurisdictions throughout the State of Florida.
After graduating from Florida State University and earning her law degree from Barry University School of Law, Heather began her legal career as a Public Defender in Florida’s Sixth Circuit, where she gained trial experience in both misdemeanor and felony courts. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Heather worked for the Florida Department of Corrections Office of Legislative Affairs, where she was responsible for drafting, monitoring and lobbying for legislation that impacted the Corrections Department.
When Heather is not in the office, you will likely find her outside; hiking, diving and going to Florida State Football games.
